All edges are rounded over and all wood is sanded smooth for a more comfortable feel. All joints are connected with galvanized nuts and bolts or Phillips II Plus screws, and ALL JOINTS ARE GLUED WITH GORILLA GLUE polyurethane and exterior grade Titebond II to make for a more solid and sturdy chair for years to come!!! To our knowledge, we are the ONLY local builder of yard and garden furniture that uses glue on our wood joints. We also use 1/4 inch galvanized bolts and nuts (as well as the glue, too) at the stress points—where the legs intersect on each side (3 bolts in EACH joint) and where the arms intersect the stretcher behind the back slats (2 bolts in EACH joint). Most local builders use only screws.

Made of select pressure treated pine, all our furniture is locally hand made in historic Wilmington, NC. All edges are rounded over, and all surfaces are sanded smooth. All joints where wood meets wood are either screwed together with Phillips II Deckmate screws, or bolted with galvanized bolts, nuts, and washers. In addition, ALL joints are glued with Gorilla Glue polyurethane glue to make for a solid chair for years to come!
